These rental apartments in Tuscany are part of a little medieval “borgo”, village, recently renovated and converted into a holiday farmhouse. Located in the wide region of south-east Siena known as the Sienese Clays (Crete Senesi) at just 2 km from Asciano the area offers a continuously changing landscape following the succession of seasons as well as the constant erosive phenomena of the clay. In springtime the hills are green as the wheat grows, whereas in summer it turns purple with the flowering of the French honeysuckle. This is the landscape that inspired the backgrounds of paintings and frescoes of the most prestigious Sienese painters of the past.
