This incredible holiday home in Chianti is located on the hills just south of Florence, facing the Arno valley and the Pratomagno mountain range. It consists in a medieval hamlet built around an original 12th-century tower house. The tower house was restored between the 15th and 16th century assuming its current aspect. The buildings are divided into 4 apartments of which one is used by the owners. The three self-catering holiday flats are very comfortable and furnished with period furniture. Originally the ceilings of the tower were decorated with frescoes, today traces can be found on a panel in the flat on the first floor. In the accommodations there are reference books on Renaissance art and on Florence and Tuscany. There is no swimming pool. Pets accepted. On request the owner is available for cooking lessons on Tuscan and medieval dishes. It is also possible to organize a dinner with the owner.
Outdoors guests can relax in the garden, under the shade of age-old olive trees and among the irises and roses, or on the scenic terrace furnished with deckchairs, chairs and tables right in front of the house. The estate comprises the villa, two farmhouses and a charming little chapel, which have been lovingly and carefully restored to their original splendour by the owners.
