This old stone cottage was built in the 7th century and externally still preserves its original architecture, while inside it has been completely renovated and converted into an elegant, luxury home for holidays.
It is located at 7 km from Radda in Chianti, the heart of this beautiful wine region, and set in a huge wine estate with olive grove. Within this setting, this wonderful villa seems to rise like an antique tower dominating the picturesque hills. Here you can stroll in the garden, surrounded by innumerable flowers, and taste its figs or blackberries, or enter the kitchen garden and pick seasonal organic products. On a hot, summer’s day, you can take a dip in the pool (11 x 5 m, 150 cm deep, fenced for the safeguard of children), or decide to keep fit with the very well-equipped gym. Otherwise, you can just take a nap in the shade, read a good book or simply enjoy the silence of nature.

The house is located within a winery surrounded by its vineyard. This means, that during the day, the entire 9 hectares won’t be at your total availability, because there might be workers working around the cellar, as well as guests visiting the wine tasting rooms. Only the villa and pool are at your exclusive use.

This lovely 18th century villa with swimming-pool in Val d’Orcia is located near Pienza, surrounded by the gently rolling hills of this magnificent countryside. There is air-conditioning in all the rooms.
Outside there is a large garden (5 hectares) fully equipped with outdoor furniture and barbecue for dining alfresco and a lovely 24x4 m saltwater swimming-pool (open Apr-Oct), of which 6 meters are indoors. This villa is in an ideal location both for those wishing to spend a quiet and pleasant vacation in the countryside, far from the madding crowd, and for those who have cultural and art interests with Montepulciano at 10 km, Montalcino at 15, Cortona at 25 and Siena at 40. Nearby the ancient spa towns of Bagno Vignoni and San Filippo. The surrounding farm estates offer the possibility of cheese, wine and olive oil tastings. This charming wine estate with panoramic views is located on the hills at just 1.5 km from Radda in Chianti, a lovely medieval village in the heart of this wine region. The old stone villa was originally an observation post looking out over the valley; today it has been fully renovated with modern comforts yet maintaining the traditional Tuscan architectural characteristics such as archways, vaulted ceilings, irregular stone walls and large windows.

The villa is set within a large garden with barbecue area, wood-fired brick pizza oven, a children’s playground, a saltwater swimming pool (12x5 m, from 140 to 200 cm deep, open May-September, and it can be heated) with Roman steps, as well as a wonderful veranda with tables and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining in peaceful contemplation of the surrounding countryside.

This cosy holiday flat is located in the centre of Bagno Vignoni, a town situated in Val d’Orcia and renowned for its hot springs.
