The origins of the Castle date back to 1070, but following the battles between Siena and Florence it had to be rebuilt various times. 20 self-catering accommodations have been created in three of the farmhouses, where the estate workers have lived since the Late Middle Ages. At 250 mt from the Castle, these holiday flats are situated around the swimming pool. Each apartment, typically furnished in the Tuscan farmhouse style, has its own private entrance and outdoor area whether they are on the ground or first floor. On the estate, guests have access to the restaurant, which serves delicious local dishes, and to the wine-tasting hall, where together with the wines one can also savour the vin santo and olive oil produced by the estate. On the grounds, besides the swimming pool (15x7 mt, open from May to October), there is a gazebo and a barbecue.
