This holiday home in Tuscany is immersed in the green countryside of the Sienese hills, between the Chianti area and the Val d’Orcia. Located 40 km east of Siena, this charming old farmhouse is quite near to the medieval villages of Lucignano and Sinalunga, in the Val di Chiana. Perfect location for visiting the beautiful medieval villages of Montepulciano (16km), San Quirico (29km), Pienza (22km), Cortona (28km), Arezzo (38km) and Montalcino (35km), just to mention a few. Florence is 95 km away. Nearest shops and restaurants ca. 3km.
This cottage dates back to the 17th century and the owners, a young couple, in respect of its tradition, restored with conservative policy the farmhouse, with love and care, so as to maintain its original architecture. The ground floor of this holiday accommodation consists of a large dining room, originally the barn of the house, a bathroom with shower and a kitchen with dishwasher and fridge with freezer. An outdoor stone stair leads to the apartment on the first floor with a large dining room with fireplace, kitchen corner with a 4 ring gas hub, 3 double bedrooms (twin beds possible), a small bathroom with toilet only and a bathroom with shower. Original wooden beam ceilings and terracotta tile flooring finish off the rooms.
This accommodation in Tuscany is surrounded by a large, furnished garden with a small swimming pool (6x4, open May-Oct) and a barbecue. Pets accepted. On request possibility of wine tasting and/or cooking lesson, as well as delicious meals prepared by the owner. Special reduced price for Rapolano thermal baths.
