This holiday home in Tuscany is located in the heart of the Chianti region on the gently rolling hills of Lamole, exactly between Florence (30km) and Siena (30km), surrounded by cypresses, vineyards and olive groves. This XVII century stone farmhouse has been carefully restored by the owner, an architect, maintaining the original Tuscan traditional structure and tastefully furnished by the owner’s wife, a set designer, who has created a stylish and friendly ambiance with elegant furniture and refined decorations. The self-catering holiday home is on two floors and can comfortably accommodate 6 people. On the first floor a timber truss highlights the beautiful, large living room which comprises both a cooking and sitting area as well as a big fireplace. The windows overlook a magnificent view of the famous Chianti hills and the beautiful Tuscan countryside. A bathroom with shower and three bedrooms are to be found on the ground floor. Each bedroom has its personal and exclusive style and colour. Available are also heating, refrigerator, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, TV/videotape player, radio. Outdoor facilities include two big private terraces with original terracotta tile flooring and a garden with a panoramic view, fully equipped with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The owners have intentionally avoided building a swimming pool so as not to interfere with the magical atmosphere of this area closely related to its rural traditions and wine production. Pets are accepted.
This villa in Chianti, at 8km from Greve in Chianti, is an ideal location for all those seeking peace and quiet but also a perfect point of departure for visiting the beautiful attractions of this wine region as well as most Tuscan art centres such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra.  

Chianti

This is Tuscany’s most notorious region. It comprises the area bordering Florence in the north and Siena in the south. Historically, the name of Chianti seems to originate from the Etruscan word “clante”, water, but also a family name.
